Create a Help Wanted ad for a Hero w/ your partner.

Homework 10/30-11/3

Monday
Continue working on personal narrative - remember to maintain 3rd person limited voice
 
Tuesday
Bring working rough draft (75% complete) to class on Thur; does not need to be typed
You will lose 10 points off your final essay grade if you do not have a working rough draft in class on Thursday.
 
Wednesday
Work on corrections from peer edit; maintain 3rd person voice; include 2 similes and 2 metaphors w/ plenty of sensory details; don't forget to include theme/lesson/truth about life in closing paragrah.
 
Thursday
Complete final draft of essay of essay - don't forget to underline and label sensory details, similes and metaphors.  Final draft must be typed.

Monday
Bring 3-6 items and/or photos tomorrow as we start work on your personal narratives; the items/photos should have some significance to you.
 
Tuesday
Complete chart in personal narrative packet on items/photos
 
Wednesday
Begin introduction to your essay - focus on the narrator (3rd Person Limited or Omniscient) and how the narrator sees/describes your world.
 
Thursday
Continue working on essay - working rough draft (75-80% complete) due on Wednesday 11/1.

Please watch the video taking notes (bullet-points) on the story as you go along.  Look over the prompt -  you are not required to start the essay tonight but be prepared to answer it in class tomorrow.  You will have the full period to write your 1 page response to the writing prompt.
