Be a part of Ridgecrest Intermediate School’s award-winning Music Department in 2023-2024. All classes are open to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

To join Concert Band and Concert Orchestra at least 1 or more years of experience is recommended.

Auditions are encouraged, but not required. Concert Band and Concert Orchestra classes are two elective classes that meet during the regular school day that help prepare students for the Advanced Ridgecrest music classes and for high school music.

Beginning instrument class for students is being offered on Saturdays during the school year at Ridgecrest through Peninsula Education Foundation (PEF), so that we can better support our community.

After School Music Clubs are also offered through Ridgecrest Booster Club including Marching Band

in the fall, and Jazz Band Clubs in the Winter and Spring.

Our Advanced Groups require an audition including 2 minute solo, excerpt, scales, and possible sight reading.

Auditions are held in March for all students, or need to be scheduled with Mrs. Lewis-Wang. This class meets during Zero Period. In order to join Advanced Band and Advanced Orchestra class, students need an invitation from Mrs. Lewis-Wang, the music director.
