Description
We will study early civilizations! We start off with some geography, an inquiry about why we study history, and then we look at early man (and woman!) We then explore the earliest civilizations, which all developed along rivers. We'll look at Mesopotamia, Egypt, India, China, the Hebrews, and Greece and Rome. We are going to travel back through time and go to lots of places. It is amazing to speculate about how our earliest ancestors made their lives. We will also learn a lot about current events. It's so interesting to see how some themes are timeless. I can hardly wait to get started on our journey through space and time. Is it Monday yet?
