Do this dance workout one day this week (or more if you would like too!). Do the best you can with the space you have!

Instructions:

1) Do the dance video workouts in this order:

Warm-Up

• Dance Warm-Up & Stretches

Technique

• Pirouette & Six-Step Practice
• Dance Floorwork Tricks

Choose one phrase to learn (click on highlighted link):

• Jazz Phrase
• Hip-Hop Phrase
• Contemporary Phrase
• Lyrical Phrase

(Fun fact: I went to college with Ms. Auti!)

• If you feel a dance move is too challenging, then you can use the skills you have gained through class, Improvisation, and the Elements of Dance to create a substitute dance move. (i.e. You can do a parallel jazz pirouette instead of the turned out ballet pirouette.)
• Encourage your family to join to you! It may be fun!

2) You will use FlipGrid to record ONLY the dance phrase you chose to learn. It's very important to do the warm-up & technique (don't skip it), but you don't need to record it. This video submission is private and only I will be able to view it. (If FlipGrid is not working please message me separately.)

• You can get creative with your submissions!! Do the dance phrase with a partner, add filters, etc. (No timelapse or slow motion allowed for this video submission)

3) You will enter your dance workout in your personal fitness log in the Class Notebook. You will record the date, type of activity, strand of fitness and the minutes spent doing the activity.

4) After completing your dance workout (including submitting the video clip to FlipGrid and entering your workout in the fitness log), you will select “turned in” in the upper right hand corner for this Assignment in Teams.

If you do not do this then it will notify you that you "missed an assignment"

I will check your Fitness Logs & FlipGrid’s by Sun Mar 22 at 11:59pm, for you to receive credit.

This required survey will inform me with your experience with Teams and knowledge of technology. I would also like to know your access to technology tools so I can better set up my classroom.

You will be graded on completion of this required survey, not the nature of your answers.
