Welcome! 欢迎! huānyíng!
Welcome to Ridgecrest Chinese classes and Math 6! You are starting a year of fun in learning a life-long skill (or skills if I have you for both Chinese and math)!
Watch the video below to see why taking Chinese in the middle school is a GREAT idea. It was made several years ago when I was at PVIS. PVIS still has a Chinese program with Ms. Wei.
Math makes you smart because it makes you think. If you can answer the following question, you will do well in my math class. . "If a rooster laid 13 eggs and the farmer took eight of them and then another rooster laid 12 eggs and four of them were rotten, how many of the eggs were left?"
Check Aeries at least once a week to make sure your grades are updated according to your expectations.
For Chinese classes, weekly agendas which include daily classwork and homework are posted in Edmodo. It is updated weekly, usually by Friday for the following week or at latest on Monday before you get home. Check Edmodo for classwork and homework if you miss school. Long-term assignments are also posted under the Projects folder in Edmodo. Quizzes or tests that require rubrics are posted under the Quizzes and Tests folder in Edmodo.
For math classes, weekly agenda is posted in Edlio.
